We Have Windows

The windows arrived and were installed. Ron and a helper (name unknown at this time) had to add some framing around the windows to get them to fit properly. Trim work needs to be done around the windows and glass blocks fitted into Moms bathroom window. Knowing Jeff and Ron this will be done very soon.

Bedroom window...

Living room window...

Back of the house...

Next is the inspection. Once that has been completed, its insulation time. Do we have any volunteers?!

Update from Susie

We were waiting on all the windows to come in. When they did come in, two of the windows were the wrong color. Jeff reordered the two, but for some reason they were shipped to a wrong address. As of today, we have not received them. As soon as they come in they can install them. Then we will get an inspection.

Progress Delayed ... While Mexico Called

Sorry for the delay in posting. We were all on a cruise to Mexico this past week. Here are a few of my favorite pictures and only a few. This was taken in the hotel lobby, our favorite hang out at night.

Kudos to our Tshirt Design team (Jessica and Martin).

Our table, #300, with our wonderful servers, Dennis and Reynaldo.

Sunrise the morning of August 12th. Notice the smooth seas, almost like glass.

Our ship, Carnival Fantasy, the morning of August 13th after we returned to New Orleans. The lights in the swimming pool changes colors!

Now back to the house...

While we were gone, it did not pass inspection. (No, it was NOT the electrical, lol!) The support beam in the living room was too long and an additional beam needed to be added. It has now been added and another inspection will take place after the windows have been installed.

More Electrical And AC

Hard working Curtis.

The air conditioning unit and the duct work have been installed. There isn't enough room above the living room/kitchen ceiling to run the duct work. So it has been placed along the living room wall and ceiling and will be enclosed.

The heating and air conditioning unit was installed by Tytan Heating and Cooling. We want to thank them for a job well done! Kudos to the AC/Electrical team!

Plumbing

There isn't much to show on plumbing, except here are the pipes.

The tub/shower enclosure is in. It looks really nice.

I am throwing in some roofing pictures to give you more to look at. We have shingles!

Shout out to our Washington followers - "We are so glad you have normal temps again. Thanks for giving us our Texas weather back!"

We'll Leave The Light On For Ya

Thanks to the outstanding electrical team, the wiring has been completed. Well, all except the wiring to the air conditioning unit. That will come later.

It took Marty and his 2 lovely assistants, Curtis and Martin, about a day and a half to complete the work.

Lets see how sturdy Grandma's house is...

To congratulate you on a job well done, take a week off!!

Roof, Siding, and Front Door

We have a roof. No shingles, but we have a roof. The plywood is down, and the felt paper has been installed. Now all we need are the shingles. Good luck to the roofers, this will be a tough job!!

Siding

The siding has been installed. I heard many of you liked the pictures of the perimeter of the house, so I have followed that pattern with the siding. To change it up, it will be in the opposite direction than before.

Front Door

The happy homeowner! Notice her lovely "Nemo" flip flops? We were having a pool party and she was dressed for the occasion.

Shout out to Betsy in IN - "Thanks for following along. We hope you are enjoying this as much as we are!!"
