The sky was gray and it had been raining off and on all day. The temperature was hot, as usual. There was finally a break in the rain and we jumped at the chance for our ground breaking before it started raining again.
Mom was presented with a shovel with a red bow to use for just this occasion.
We thought the ground would be soft due to all the rain but not a chance. Wesley jumped in to help Mom get a scoop of dirt but she finally did it!
The dirt has been turned, let the party begin! We celebrated the occasion with hamburgers and snacks even though we never need an occasion for food.
